Gyrator X

GyratorX UI

From the Physicist’s Bench to Your DAW

For years, digital EQs have chased the sound of analog hardware — yet something often gets lost in translation: the feel.
That subtle, dynamic response and punch that makes a circuit breathe with the music.

As a physicist, circuit designer, and music producer, I knew the key to that elusive responsiveness lay in recreating the circuit’s essence — component by component.

Gyrator X is the result.
It’s not a black-box or a simple EQ curve match. It’s a physics-based, component-level emulation of a gyrator-based analog EQ, built from my own hardware prototypes and years of research. This approach reproduces the electrical interactions that give these circuits their natural, expressive feel.

“My experience with digital emulations often left me wanting more. Curve accuracy alone couldn’t capture the subtle responsiveness of great analog designs. Gyrator X is the result of my passion, technical expertise, and years of experimentation — built to deliver that missing responsiveness in the digital world.”
— Oliver Gretz (Okmog), PhD, Creator of Gyrator X
