Gyrator X delivers the unmistakable depth and responsiveness of real analog circuitry through true physics-based modeling. Every stage is built from the ground up to behave like its hardware counterpart - reproducing not just its frequency curves, but the complex interactions that give sound its weight, motion, and musicality.
By combining component-accurate gyrator EQ design with advanced filtering and harmonic modeling, Gyrator X offers a level of realism and control rarely found in digital equalizers.
Component-Level Circuit Modeling – Faithful recreation of analog gyrator EQ behavior, capturing the dynamic interaction of real electronic components.
Rediscovered ’70s Low Shelf – A rare, vintage gyrator topology revived to deliver deep, solid low-frequency shaping with natural weight and authority.
Okmog Signature Sky Band – A proprietary high-frequency shaping design that adds openness and air without harshness or unnatural spectral shifts.
Advanced Analog Filter Models – Including a true four-pole State Variable filter, classic Multiple Feedback and Sallen-Key topologies, a passive high-pass design, and a unique gyrator-based low-pass filter.
Dual ADAA Saturation Stages – Two fully independent saturation stages based on anti-derivative anti-aliasing (ADAA), with mutliple models derived from detailed measurements of real analog circuitry for precise, artifact-free harmonic control.
Modern, Intuitive Workflow – A clean, scalable interface with A/B comparison, undo/redo, and streamlined controls designed for fast, confident mixing and mastering.
Welcome to Okmog. I’m Oliver Gretz — music producer, audio engineer, and developer — driven by a passion for sonic exploration and a relentless search for tools that solve real-world production challenges. With a PhD in physics and years of hands-on circuit design, including building my own analog hardware prototypes, I fuse analytical precision with the creativity of music-making.
Here, you’ll discover audio plugins like Gyrator X — born from my own analog EQ prototype and brought to life through advanced, physics-based digital modeling — alongside expert mixing and mastering services and personalized music production training. Every project I take on is guided by one mission: to empower your sonic vision.
For me, mixing and mastering is much like sculpting — shaping a work of art until every contour and detail feels intentional. It’s about creating a harmonious whole that draws the listener in, guiding their attention to the music’s most vital accents and emotional peaks.
Whether you imagine a mix where each element stands in its own distinct space, or one where sounds intertwine into a vibrant, unified whole, I work to bring that vision to life. In mastering, the approach remains the same, but with a heightened focus on amplifying emotion, refining balance, and revealing the natural beauty already present in your music.
For over 18 years, I’ve been driven by a single question: What truly creates a professional, release-ready sound? Along the way, I’ve explored every angle — studying, experimenting, learning from masters, and discovering my own methods through countless hours of practice.
Now, I share this hard-earned knowledge through personalized Mixing & Mastering Training, available both in-person and online. Whether you’re aiming for clarity, impact, or a signature style, I’ll guide you step-by-step toward the skills and understanding needed to achieve competitive, professional results.
My musical journey began at age six with the accordion, later expanding to the piano, and soon evolving into a teenage fascination with electronic music — sparked by my first synth, the Yamaha AN1X, and the distinctive Vermona DRM drum computer from the former GDR.
For me, music production is both an act of emotional expression and an exploration of the intricate relationships between a song’s elements. Arrangement, in particular, is like designing an emotional journey: it can tell its own compelling story or take the listener by the hand — gently or with intention — guiding them through every moment of the track.
My Music Production Training is designed to help you harness these principles, turning raw ideas into complete, emotionally resonant productions.
